Our stainless steel gua sha range covers the full working set: facial boards in the classic heart and wing profiles, comb-edge boards for scalp and neck work, contour and fascia profiles for larger muscle groups, and a mushroom massager for point work.
All pieces are 304 food grade stainless steel with formed, hand-polished edges. The surface is non-porous, so the tools sanitise fully and hold their finish through daily use, unlike stone tools that can chip.
Three finishes are available on the same shapes: mirror polished silver, matte or black, and electroplated gold PVD. The gold pieces are electroplated stainless steel rather than a solid alloy.
Dimensions
Boards are produced to your chosen dimensions; the spec drawings below show three of our standard profiles. Example: heart board 75 x 90 mm at 157 g, comb-edge board 60 x 90 mm at 111 g, and a compact comb 35 x 95 mm at 89 g.
How to Use
Prepare the skin
Apply a few drops of facial oil or serum to clean skin so the board glides rather than drags. Hold the board flat against the skin at a shallow angle.
Facial gua sha sequence
Work from the centre of the face outwards and from top to bottom: brow to temple, nose side to ear, cheekbone to jaw, then down the neck towards the collarbone. Use light, even strokes, three to five passes per area.
Comb-edge boards
The toothed edge is drawn through the scalp or along the neck and shoulder with light pressure, following the direction of hair growth. The smooth edge of the same board is then used for the face.
Wash with mild soap and warm water after each use, dry fully, and store in the pouch or box insert. Stainless steel can also be cleaned with an alcohol wipe between users.
