Gua Sha Wholesale Orders: How Volume Tiers and Quotations Work
How wholesale gua sha orders are quoted: volume tiers, the factors that move unit price, mixed-model orders, and what to include in an RFQ for an accurate quotation.
Wholesale pricing is not a single number per product. Every quotation is built from the same four inputs - the shape you choose, the material, the logo method and the packaging - and then the order quantity decides which tier the unit price falls into. This page explains how the tiers work so you can plan a first purchase order, and a repeat programme, with realistic numbers in mind.
The base of every quote: stock shapes with your laser-engraved logo start at 200 pieces per model. Custom shapes follow the material - bian stone carries the lowest minimum at 200 pieces, other stone starts at 500, and stainless steel or ceramic start at 1,000 with a mould. Everything above the minimum moves on the same tier logic below.
Stock held for wholesale programmes - order volume is quoted per model.
The Three Tiers Buyers Plan Around
Trial tier - the minimum order that carries your logo. Typically 200 to 500 pieces across one or a few models. This is where most brands confirm quality, packaging and market response before committing further.
Production tier - the standard repeat order, roughly 500 to 2,000 pieces per model. Unit price improves because setup is amortised across more pieces and materials are bought in production quantities.
Programme tier - scheduled supply for distributors and chains. 2,000 pieces and above per model, often delivered across several months against an agreed calendar. Quoted as a programme, not a single order.
The bands are indicative, not fixed. Exact break points depend on geometry, material and how many sizes come off the same mould - they are confirmed against your specification on the quotation.
What Moves the Unit Price
Quantity per model, not total order size. 2,000 pieces split across ten shapes is quoted differently from 2,000 pieces of one shape.
Material. Natural stone, stainless steel, ceramic and wood carry different raw costs and process times.
Logo method. Laser engraving, silk-screen printing and moulded logos each have their own setup and minimum.
Packaging. A poly bag, a printed pouch, a gift box or a retail-ready box with inserts are four different cost lines.
Finish. Polished, matte, brushed or coated surfaces change process time per piece.
Mixed Orders: How They Are Quoted
Mixed-model orders are routine: each line is quoted on its own quantity band.
One purchase order can hold several shapes and materials, and combining a best-seller with two or three test shapes is common for first orders and for distributors building a range. Mixed orders are quoted model by model: each line gets its own quantity band and its own minimum check.
One thing to avoid: spreading a small quantity across many models. It raises the effective unit price, complicates quality control, and leaves no shape with enough volume to actually sell. Fewer models, deeper quantities is the better first order.
What to Include in Your RFQ
A complete brief gets you an accurate quotation instead of an approximation. Include:
Product and shape: reference number, drawing, or a sample photo.
Material and finish.
Quantity per model for the first order, and the quantity you expect at repeat.
Logo method and placement, or no logo for unbranded stock.
Destination country and port, so the quotation can include an honest shipping estimate.
With those six items the reply can cover unit price, minimum order quantity, lead time and a landed-cost estimate - all confirmed against your specification rather than a guess.
Repeat Orders and Programme Supply
The second and third orders are where wholesale supply proves itself: same specification, same tooling, same inspection standard. The signed limit sample from the first order becomes the reference every repeat is judged against, and production notes stay on file so a reorder is placed without re-specifying the product.
Wholesale FAQ
What is the minimum order for wholesale gua sha? Stock shapes with a laser-engraved logo start at 200 pieces per model. Custom shapes follow the material, from 200 pieces in bian stone up to 1,000 in stainless steel and ceramic with a mould. Exact figures are confirmed per project.
Can I mix models in one order? Yes. Each model is quoted on its own quantity band, and combining models in one production slot is routine for first orders and distributor ranges.
Do you supply distributors and chains? Yes - scheduled supply, consistent batch quality and retail-ready packaging including barcodes. Share your delivery calendar and the quotation becomes a programme.
How long does production take? Stock shapes with your logo run about 25-30 days after artwork approval, and unbranded stock can ship in as little as 3 days. Programme orders carry the agreed schedule in the quotation.
